Very few people in any city can commission a PKR 80 million home or commercial building. Most of them already have an architect in mind, usually a firm their family or business partners have used for decades.
Two walls: money and loyalty
The firm I worked with designs exceptional villas and commercial spaces. But broad "architecture" keywords brought students and enthusiasts, not investors. Brand awareness campaigns didn't move people who already had a preferred firm. The audience was too small to grow by finding newcomers alone.
- Reach high-net-worth investors, not people browsing design ideas
- Break long-standing loyalty to legacy firms
- Filter for PKR 80M+ intent at the very first touch
- Build enough trust to justify a huge investment decision
The opportunity isn't people who've never heard of you. It's people comparing your competitors.
The plan
Follow competitors' viewers on YouTube
Using YouTube ad sequencing, I targeted people who'd watched content from rival architecture firms and luxury developers. A sequence followed them: brand story first, then technical expertise, then portfolio depth. We met them mid-consideration and gave them a better option.
Search for investors, not architecture fans
I dropped generic keywords completely and went after investment and location-specific searches, like modern villa design in premium developments or commercial architecture in prime business districts. Those searches come from people already planning a project.
Stack luxury signals on Meta
On Facebook and Instagram, one signal is too broad. I combined architecture interest with premium vehicle ownership, frequent international travel and real estate investment. Only people matching all of them saw the ads.
Replace the contact form with proof
Nobody commits PKR 80 million through a plain form. Every click landed on a page with 3D walkthroughs and portfolio highlights, so visitors could see the quality first and get in touch with confidence.
The results
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Qualified leads per month | Few, mostly referrals | 1,500 |
| Minimum project value per lead | β | PKR 80M |
| Monthly ad spend | β | PKR 1M |
| Cost efficiency | Billboards and print | Outperformed offline media |
| Pipeline | Unpredictable | Steady flow of PKR 80M+ projects |
The campaign generated 1,500 qualified leads a month on a PKR 1M budget. Each had shown financial capacity and real building intent before any sales conversation. The same money would have bought a fraction of that through billboards or print. A firm that had been invisible to this audience was suddenly part of every shortlist.
The lesson
If your market is small and your competitors have held it for years, don't wait to be found. Enter the conversation they're already having, and give their audience a better reason to choose you.
